writing & editing support

I offer attuned and relational editing and writing support, drawing on my expertise as an author of various academic publications, creative non-fiction, public writing and poetry, my longstanding work as a freelance editor and proofreader of academic and non-academic writing, my training as a senior lecturer in literature and critical theory, and my experience as a supervisor and creative mentor.

My approach is guided by a queer and feminist sensibility. I am interested in the ways in which we shape and are shaped by the language we use (and don’t) and, particularly, in how our institutional histories and presents influence the language we feel is available to us. My intention is that our work together be a conversation, motivated by a shared desire to make good meaning in the world.
